How a PPF installation works at DRIP

Choose your coverage
Use the calculator on this page or call the studio. Tell us the vehicle size and the coverage you want, and you get an indicative price straight away. We’ll be in touch within one business day to confirm your appointment.

Inspect and prepare the paint
When the car arrives we inspect the paint and prepare the panels being filmed, because the film protects whatever finish is underneath it.

Precision fit
Our team fits SunTek Reaction panel by panel, wrapping edges wherever possible. No visible lines, no messy edges: the aim is a car that looks factory, not covered.

Optional ceramic and extras
The 10-Year Ceramic Coating can be added from $1,320 inc GST, and wheels, glass, interior and window tint can be done at the same visit.

Collection and aftercare
Collect the car from Southport and ask us about looking after the film. Leave the car unwashed for 48–72 hours after a PPF installation so the film can settle.

SunTek Reaction is covered by a 12-Year Manufacturer Warranty, subject to the manufacturer’s terms and the required installation and maintenance conditions. Ask us to walk you through those terms before you book.
The film is designed to let minor surface marks diminish with heat. That self-healing behaviour does not make the film or the paint scratch-proof, and it does not prevent damage from every impact.
Our workmanship is guaranteed too: if something isn’t right with the installation, we make it right.
How long it takes
Typically 1–3 days in the studio, depending on the vehicle and how much paint preparation it needs. We confirm the booking length with your quote. Full Body: Typically 2–4 days for a mid-size vehicle. Larger or more complex vehicles, and paint that needs correction first, can take longer.

Ceramic coating or PPF: which do I need?
Ceramic coating gives gloss, UV protection and easier washing, but it does not stop stone chips. PPF is a physical film that protects the paint from stone chips and road debris. Many owners combine the two: front PPF on the panels that take the most chips, with ceramic coating over the whole car.
How do I look after ceramic coating and PPF?
Leave the car unwashed for 48–72 hours after a PPF installation so the film can settle. For a new ceramic coating, we tell you at collection how long to wait before the first wash. After that, wash with a pH-neutral car shampoo using the two-bucket method, avoid automatic brush car washes, and rinse off salt after beach trips.
