New Car Protection on the Gold Coast

Even brand-new cars can start showing paint damage within weeks on Australian roads. Here is how DRIP Automotive Co. protects new paint, what each option costs, and how to choose.

Why protect a new car early

Every drive exposes a car to stone chips, road debris, bug acids, UV and everyday wear. On a new car, the paint has had the least exposure it will ever have, so protecting it early means sealing in a factory finish rather than correcting damage later.

It also keeps the price down: brand-new paint is priced at the lowest ceramic coating rate, and there is a fixed-price new car package.

Your options

There are a few ways to go, and the right one depends on how you use the car and how long you plan to keep it.

  • New Car Ceramic Coat with free window tint: $1,375 inc GST, a fixed price for every vehicle size.
  • 10-Year Ceramic Coating: Drip 9H for gloss, easier washing and resistance to chemical etching, from $1,320 inc GST on new paint.
  • Paint protection film: SunTek Reaction for impact protection. Front Half $3,300 inc GST, Track Pack $3,850 inc GST, Full Body from $5,500 inc GST.
  • Both: the PPF Front Half + 10-Year Ceramic package is 20% off, from $3,696 inc GST.

Extras worth doing while the car is new

At the same visit (inc GST): glass coating $220, wheel faces $220, wheel inner barrels & faces $440, interior protection (leather & fabric) $330, window tint from $550 (Hatch, Coupe $550; Sedan, Touring / Wagon, Small SUV, Medium SUV $660; Large SUV $715; Dual Cab Ute, Large American Truck, Supercar $660), Front Half PPF $3,300. PPF door cups ($55) and PPF on the sunroof ($440) can be added to a PPF job.

Booking a new car in

Get an instant estimate with the PPF or ceramic calculator, or send us the make and model through the quote form. We’ll be in touch within one business day to confirm an appointment at our Southport studio, and the final price is confirmed when we inspect the car.

Typically 1–3 days in the studio. Paint preparation is the main variable, so a brand-new car usually needs less time than a swirled one. for ceramic; PPF typically takes 1–3 days for front coverage and 2–4 days for full body on a mid-size vehicle.

Common questions

Questions we get asked

Does a brand-new car need paint correction?

Brand-new paint is priced at the lowest ceramic coating rate. We still inspect the car when it arrives, and the final price is confirmed after that inspection.

Should I choose PPF or ceramic for a new car?

PPF stops stone chips; ceramic adds gloss and makes washing easier. If chips are your main worry, start with PPF on the front. If you want the car easy to keep clean, start with ceramic. Many owners do both.

What does it cost to protect a new car?

The New Car Ceramic Coat with free window tint is $1,375 inc GST for any size. Front Half PPF is $3,300 inc GST.

Can I protect the wheels and glass too?

Yes. Glass coating is $220 inc GST and wheel faces are $220 inc GST.

What warranty applies?

SunTek Reaction PPF carries a 12-Year Manufacturer Warranty, subject to the manufacturer’s terms. Our Gold Coast ceramic coating is the 10-Year Ceramic Coating; ask us for its warranty terms before you book.
